1.3 Update --- Huge Changes!


Major Changes:

1. Galaxy generation has been greatly improved. It's now much, much faster for large galaxies and you can keep track of it with this loading screen!


Wow, isn't that loading screen beautiful? I think it is.

2. Galaxy shapes!

The generator-style setting was removed  because it sucked. It's been replaced with the Galaxy shape setting, of which there are only 3 so far, sorry. But those 3 are great! Have you ever wanted a donut-shaped galaxy?


I know I have. And now we can!

3. Tech-stomping!

Previously, an advantage of 1 tech level was the same as an advantage of 10 tech levels. I've changed it so that if you have 3+ higher tech than the enemy, they pretty much stand no chance. This makes the galaxy's choke points much less annoying to deal with, and makes sure some random tech-0 faction is not holding out for 200,000 years against a giant tech-10 faction.

Non-Content Changes

You can now make custom names in bulk. What do I mean by this? I mean you can copy and paste this list of US states, put it into the custom names box, set the factions to 50 (since there are 50 states!) and watch as the US states have a battle royale. Which state is the best? It depends.

Massive performance improvement for when galaxies are zoomed out.

Wormholes, the things that connect star systems together, are now easier to see.

WASD movement is based off of momentum now and looks really cool, at least, when you have high FPS. Which you probably will because I made performance way better!!!

Developed star systems are no longer an eye-sore to look at.

Small improvements to the name/motto system.

Game defaults to circle star systems now. It was very tragic to finally let go of those classic square star systems (TM) which you can still get by clicking the system shape button.
